The incident happened on Concord Road near Alcott Street around 11:45 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, Acton Police Chief James Cogan reports. The pedestrian involved was transported to a local hospital where they later died.
Investigation determined the involved vehicle was a dark-colored 1997 to 2002 Ford Econoline work van. Though the van initially fled the scene, it was later located when the alleged driver contacted Acton Police, Cogan said.
The investigation is ongoing.
